The kids really seem to be enjoying school. Lizzy does get very tired, however. She doesn't like to wear her glasses, but we are working on it. It's so nice to have the kids able to work on their homework at the same time and in the same room. Micah and Lizzy need minimal help. Josh has become very creative and is now capable of completing all 25 of his spelling words each night. He is using a lot of descriptive words in his sentences. If the word were coach he would typically write something like: I like my soccer coach. But last week he wrote: My soccer coach told me to go down the court and score a goal! I am very impressed with his attitude towards his school work this year. I know his Autistic symptoms tell him not to settle down. If he gets too "wild" then we just set the timer for 15 minutes. He knows there will be an end and then he will have a break. When the timer goes off again he knows it's time to get back to work. I hope this attitude continues for the duration of the school year.
Micah and Lizzy both needed snuggle time tonight. They spent the evening with the
ir father (all 3 of them). The 2 typically need more "mommy time" when they return and I of course am happy to oblige. They each received about 10 minutes of snuggle time before they settled in for the night.
There really hasn't been much more exciting things happening in our life right now. I thought I would share just a "typical" day in our life.
