Over all the kiddos seem to like school. They don't like getting up early. With Daylight Savings Time it's hard for them to get to sleep before 10:00 or 11:00 and then I get them up at 7:30 to catch the bus.
Micah loves school. Micah loves his teacher. Micah is in the same class with his two best friends...again! Micah is in heaven. He is even sitting next to Joe Pee, his "bestest" friend!
Lizzy doesn't want to get up. Lizzy doesn't want to get on the bus. Lizzy doesn't want to go to school. But I'm sure she likes it. Lizzy was told by another friend over the summer that her teacher is mean this year and therefore has been expressing this. I think she has a preconceived notion and is not getting to know her teacher on her own merit. I think girly is gonna be a challenge for a while to get her to school. She typically loves it.
Josh is a dog every morning. I tell him that boys get dressed, get their backpacks, get on the bus and go to school~not dogs. His bus driver even told him this morning that he needed to "be a boy". At least we are on the same page. His meds usually kick in by the time he gets to school and it doesn't seem to be an issue at school. However, I did ask his teacher the other night how she felt he was adjusting and she said that he was kind of "glazed over". I'm sure it has to do with little sleep and getting back into the routine. He'll get it, I have confidence in him.
Pretty soon I will be back to work and we will have a new adjustment all over again. Hopefully with it mainly affecting me it will be a smooth transition.
