Meet the Teacher Night

Tonight I met all three of the kiddos' teachers. I was very spoiled last year as I had already had previous experience with all of them the year before. Josh's teacher this year, Mrs. Dick, he had in second grade. Lizzy and Micah's teacher I never even heard of before. They all are nice ladies and seem to have a genuine heart for children.
Micah's teacher, Mrs. Sturges, is in for a treat as she has Joe, Seth and Micah in her class. These three have been in the same class since kindergarten~Joe is also a former student of mine and our neighbor. They are in second grade now. They also attend AWANA on Wed evenings Sept-May. They are great buds!
Lizzy seemed a little uneasy about her teacher before school started. She had heard from a friend that Mrs. Humphreys is "mean". I think she has a different opinion as the note that she wrote me and left on her desk stated that she thinks that she will "like third grade" and "Mrs. Humphreys is nice".
Mrs. Dick seems pleased to be working with Josh this time in fifth grade. I think it's good for him to have a familiar face. He asked for his crate for his books that he used last year in fourth grade. Mrs. Dick also noticed that he has been fidgety so they will get his cushion for him that he used last year as well. Mrs. Fath (resource teacher) seems to like working with Josh too. She has worked with Joseph during his time at Brookview. Josh was in Mrs. Dick's class when he was diagnosed with Autism, so she is full aware of who he is.
All in all I am excited for the kiddos to be starting the new school year, even if they have to grow up!
